Indian society has always been the devotee of knowledge. In this country, ideal method of acquiring education through “Gurukul” system was developed. Society becomes well educated and well-mannered with the help of education. This kind of society moulds the country into an empowered Nation. It is very essential to have such type of ability in schools and teachers to create new generation.

After witnessing the adverse condition of current educational system, to regain the previous glory of our country, the thought of establishing an ideal educational institute came into existence. By the inspiration and guidance of the senior freedom fighter honourable “Late Shri Prahladji Abhyankar“, the institution of “Rajarshi Shahu Shikshan” and “Gramodyog Sanstha” was founded in 1997. Under this institution, this residential school was established in 1998 by the hands of great social worker, “Bharat Ratna Late Shri Nanaji Deshmukh“. The institute was named after “Arya Chanakya“, an enlighter of society and creator of great Emperor like “Samrat Chandragupta“. The land of 30 acres in hilly areas which is 11 kilometres away from the city was selected.

The institution believes that that every student of this school will be mentally, physically and emotionally developed. After completing the education, he will brighten the future of this country. So the motto “An institution, dreaming of empowered India” was unanimously accepted.

A beautiful Confluence of home and school is experienced after visiting the school. By becoming a child everybody wishes to stay here, for taking education. The daily schedule of the school is planned to enhance the energy of student. The thought on the part of parents that the qualities which are impossible to be inculcated in the children, is made possible in this atmosphere of School. Waking up early in the morning performing ‘Suryanamaskar‘, drinking milk in the morning and at night, reciting the prayer of mother before going to bed. Nutritious and balanced diet is planned for the excellent physical growth of child. Several extracurricular activities are planned to develop their personality. Intense efforts are deliberately taken to inculcate the moral values of patriotism, Sportsmanship, co-operation, compassion etc., in student.

Today’s education has become limited to the four walls of the classroom and remained just for recitation. In this exam oriented educational system, the concept of getting percentage has been given extensive importance. So the teachers, students parents are carrying the burden of expectation of good marks. We prefer to give importance the hidden qualities in the students rather than his marks in the exams. We believe that ever student possess certain inborn skills, but there is a need to identify and promote them. The same required work is carried out in ‘Arya Chanakya vidyadham’ with dedication. To achieve this we are taking the help of technology along with traditional education.
